Dancing as a Way of Protesting | Bangkok Post: lifestyle


Swedish indie-pop outfit combines politics and late ’80s dance music to make you think. Instead, it encourages debates and conversations solely by way of music or, in this case, by inviting us all to get on the dance floor. The latest to jump on the bandwagon is Le Tigre, a dance-punk trio who have reunited especially for the occasion. “I won’t let it go/I wanna let it go,” frontman Guy Connelly croons in the gossamer falsetto reminiscent of Bon Iver and James Vincent McMorrow. Unlike most of their past releases, the song eschews rambunctious thrashing guitars and opts for a more melodic soundscape.
